I've been reading a lot of nerd stuff for work, but...
- One chart showing the entire deficit discussion is a fraud: if Congress refrains from acting, the deficit will go away pretty quickly.
- Why don't we have autopsies any more? (When one of my relatives died of complications from cancer/chemotherapy years ago, I don't think there was an autopsy, and the hospital refused to release even the toxicology data they had, so we don't really know what happened.)
- Ben Bernanke paraphrases John Maynard Keynes.
- A glorious review of the original 1972 The Joy of Sex.
- Not quite the least ethical study ever conducted, but wow, what a candidate.
- The NYPD has its own CIA. Trained by the real CIA, even.
- Finally, an outstanding rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus.
